BALDWINSVILLE -- Mother Nature is wreaking havoc on an area football team.
Tonight's Baldwinsville vs. Utica Proctor Section III Class AA football playoff crossover game is being moved because of recent rain.
Standing water and mud on the Baldwinsville football field has made it unusable tonight, so the game is being moved to Liverpool High School at 6:30 p.m,
Athletic Director Bruce Quimby says the school will lose revenue from the concession stands because of the move.
This isn't the only game that's been affected. Thursday's varsity soccer game was moved to a secondary field, and the junior varsity game was cancelled.
Quimby says voters have shot down the idea of installing a turf field several times.
Last year, Liverpool High School unveiled its new turf field. Voters rejected the plan several times because of concerns about cost. The district stuck with a bare bones plan and eventually finished the project under the $5.4 million budgeted for it.
