SCHUYLER -- Three men are facing weapons possession charges for allegedly having several loaded guns in their car.
The trouble started around 2:15 a.m. this morning on Kilkenny Drive in the Town of Schuyler. State police say they spotted a car driving with its headlights off. Troopers say they found a van parked at the end of the road. One of the troopers spotted a rifle barrel protruding from under a scarf between the back seats.
Inside the car, police say they found a loaded SKS semi-automatic rifle and a loaded Beretta .32 caliber automatic handgun. Police say the handgun was stolen from Montgomery County, Tennessee.
36-year-old Jayson Pulluaim of Florida, 35-year-old Terrence Hines, of Utica, and 28-year-old Eugene James, of Utica, are charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property. All three have previous felony convictions.
They were arraigned in Schuyler Town Court and and were sent to the Herkimer County Jail on $75,000 cash or $150,000 bond.
