Syracuse Police have arrested two teenagers for robbing two people at gunpoint.

Police say 16 year-old Shafar Smith and an unidentified 15 year-old male robbed two people on the 400 block of Erie Blvd. West around 10:30 Saturday night.

Police say Smith and her accomplice demanded money from the two victims and pointed a black handgun at them. When the victims said they didn't have any money, police say Smith and her partner took their cellphones and a purse and ran towards Franklin St.

Police say they investigated the area and picked up the two on the 200 block of Franklin St. They were charged with two counts of first degree robbery among other charges.

Smith is scheduled to be arraigned Sunday in city court.
