HASTINGS, OSWEGO COUNTY -- A Central Square man is accused of raping an 11-year-old girl while living in the Town of Hastings.
According to Oswego Sheriff’s Department, they arrested Matthew D. Roof, 33, Sunday for allegedly engaging in multiple sexual acts with a young girl over a fifteen month period at his home in the Town of Hastings.
Deputies say the girl ranged in age from 11-yeard-old to 13-years-old during this time.
Roof was arrested for rape, criminal sex act, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Roof was arraigned in the Town of Hastings Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bail bond.
Roof is scheduled to return to court Wednesday, October 26.
