UTICA -- Level 3 sex offenders in Utica won't be celebrating Halloween this year.

The Sex Offender unit of the Utica Police Department has distributed flyers to the 90 level 3 sex offenders in the area, which state "No Candy at This Residence."

Police are asking the sex offenders to display the signs in their windows and not hand out any candy on Halloween.

Officers are asking parents to avoid taking their children to the homes with these signs on the door or in the window.
