SENECA FALLS -- A fatal hit and run is under investigation in Seneca Falls and the victim is 88-year-old, Christine Comernisky, of Seneca Falls.
Police say it happened around 12:23pm Thursday at the intersection of Fall Street at State Street. According to police, a red Volvo tractor combination vehicle with a white trailer, was heading westbound when it hit an 88-year-old woman and then left the scene.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Geneva General Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The downtown business district was closed for several hours during the investigation.
