HOMER, CORTLAND COUNTY -- A Cortland County man is facing several charges after being accused of sexual abuse.

Brandon Thompson, 22, of Cortland was arrested Thursday.

On Tuesday, Thompson and a 21-year-old woman were at a mutual friend's house in the Town of Scott, according to the Cortland County Sheriff's Department. At some point, investigators say he held down the female acquaintance on a bed and touched her private areas.

The other people in the house were sleeping at the time, according to detectives.

Thompson is charged with sexual abuse, forcible touching, assault, and two counts of unlawful imprisonment. He was arraigned in the Town of Homer and sent to the Cortland County Jail on $7,500 cash, $15,000 bond. He is scheduled to be back in court on Tuesday, November 1st at 4:00 p.m.
