Artists' showcase runs through Christmas Eve
Syracuse's Art Mart opens its 57th season on Friday (November 4th) and the showcase for local, handmade crafts is open until Christmas Eve.
Marge Hill, a painter who exhibits and sells at Syracuse City Hall's Atrium, says it's a way to see the diversity of local artists---50 of them will be exhibiting (you can look for free) and selling. Handmade scarves, jewelry, pottery, children's toys, artwork in various mediums and more are among the 'treasures'. There's an artists' reception on opening night (Friday 4:30 -6pm) and the artists are often there, so you can also make a personal connection with your unique purchase.
Art Mart is at the Syracuse City Hall Commons Atrium (East Washington Street west of City Hall), Monday - Thursday 11-4:30pm. Fridays 11 - 6pm, and Saturdays 11 - 4, until Christmas Eve.
