CHENANGO, BROOME CO. (AP) -- Law enforcement officials in the Binghamton area say they've launched a homicide investigation after a person's body was found on a wooded property outside the city.
The Broome County Sheriff's Office says it's treating the case as a suspected homicide.
Sheriff David Harder tells Binghamton media outlets that the body was discovered Sunday morning off Wilson Hill Road in the town of Binghamton, just north of Binghamton.
Harder says no other information is being released until a news conference scheduled for 11 a. m. Monday.
