SALINA -- A fire broke out Monday morning at a Burger King in Salina.

According to Liverpool Fire Department's deputy Chief Jason Ormsby, a fire was reported at Burger King on Elwood Davis Road, near Buckley Road and 7th North Street in Salina at approximately 7:21a.m. Monday morning.

When fire crews arrived, heavy smoke was coming out of the roof and front door.

Chief Ormsby told CNY Central that the fire started in the roof and was very minor. There is significant damage to the restaurant but there were no injuries.

The Chief says it looks like a heater unit overheated and caught some wood on fire. The building is closed for business, likely for a few days, pending a health department inspection.
