Former NFL pro football player and coach Tim Green will appear in court

SYRACUSE -- There is new information in the legal case swirling around the undefeated Skaneateles High School football team. CNYCentral has learned from sources familiar with the court proceedings about a key piece of information regarding the suspension of the team from post-season play.
The Skaneateles District will admit in court that it did not report actual violations of the rules, but rather reported allegations that seemed credible enough for further investigation by Section III. This admission by the district about its own report could effect whether Section III should have handed down any penalty against the football team.
Lawyers representing Section III, the Skaneateles School District and Head Coach Tim Green will appear before Judge Brian DeJoseph in court Tuesday morning at 10:00. The judge will consider whether to keep a Temporary Restraining Order in place that would allow Skaneateles to play Herkimer in the Syracuse University Carrier Dome Saturday for the Section III Class C title.
It is not yet known exactly how the court proceedings will unfold or whether the judge will call for a full hearing on the issues surrounding the penalty handed down by Section III administrators.
After Saturday's victory over Utica Notre Dame the former NFL linebacker, Syracuse University All-American and member of the College Football Hall of Fame Tim Green shook the hands of each opposing player then he gave a passionate speech about the American justice system.
Green talked about the mess of this investigation into the use of undue influence to attract out of town players to his small town team. Anger began pouring out as he defended his players, his coaches and himself for doing nothing wrong. He questioned the loss of a presumption of innocence and the burden of proving guilt in America. He praised the justice system for being able to overcome a decision that would have kept his players, including his son, from playing the game of their lives.
