AUBURN, CAYUGA CO. -- Three individuals were arrested for allegedly distributing marijuana to customers in Cayuga County.

Auburn Police Department says that Brenda Cook, 40, Alicia Marie Cook, 24, and Lakota Diganee Crouse, 20, were arrested and charged Wednesday with criminal possession of marijuana. Brenda Cook and Crouse both reside in Nedrow. Alicia Marie Cook is from Akwesasne.

Police say the arrests stem from an investigation into the possible supply of marijuana to customers in Cayuga County by members of the Onondaga Nation.

Police seized over fifteen pounds of what they are calling high quality marijuana with an estimated street value of over $50,000. Police also seized an undisclosed amount of US cash.

All three defendants were arraigned by Auburn City Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail without bail.
