ONEIDA -- Federal prosecutors are getting involved in a meth case in the city of Oneida.

A brother and sister are facing new charges after being arrested for the second time in a few months. Robert Atkinson, 39, and Melissa Dager, 42, were arrested in June when police busted a meth lab at the house on Palmer Drive in Oneida. Investigators were back at the house Thursday as part of the investigation.

Federal prosecutors tell CNY Central the pair are now facing several federal charges in relation to the case. They are both charged with conspiracy to make meth and possessing pseudoephedrine knowing it would be made into meth. Atkinson is also charged with maintaining a home to make meth, and being a drug user in possession of a gun.

Atkinson and Dager could face up to 20 years in prison, along with fines and supervised release.

Both suspects are scheduled to be back in court November 7th.
