AUBURN -- Some Auburn elementary school children are staying indoors for lunch today after reports of a bear spotted in the area.

The alleged bear sighting happened in the vicinity of Seward Elementary School. Auburn police say they haven't spotted the bear and school remains open. As a precaution, the school is keeping children indoors for lunch.

Auburn schools say they have no confirmation of the bear sighting, but police are still investigating.
