TOWN OF LINCOLN -- A Canastota woman is accused of driving drunk with a child in the car.
It happened Thursday night around 7 in the Town of Lincoln.
Jean Curtis, 46, of Oxbox Road, hit a residential mailbox at 6549 Tuttle Road and left the scene, according to police.
A trooper responding to the scene discovered Curtis' vehicle, disabled, on Timmerman Road at the Tuttle Road intersection. The officer determined Curits was traveling north on Tuttle Road, failed to stop at a stop sign, and then hit a downed tree and a barn.
Curits and her 10-year-old daughter were not hurt. Curtis had a blood alcohol contest of .20%, according to police.
Curtis was charged with DWI, Aggravated DWI with a BAC over .18%, Aggravated DWI with a child in the vehicle, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign.
Curtis was also charged with Failure to Keep Right and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.
She was arraigned in the Town of Lincoln Court and remanded to the Madison County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
Curtis is due at the Lincoln Town Court on December 1st.
