Level 3 sex offender in Norwich accused of creating multiple Facebook accounts

NORWICH, CHENANGO CO. -- A sex offender from Norwich is accused of creating multiple Facebook accounts using different names.

35-year-old Christopher Prosser, a level 3 sex offender, is accused of failing to notify law enforcement of the Facebook account he created. He also allegedly created multiple accounts using different names.

As a level 3 sex offender, Prosser is required to report the internet accounts.

He's now charged with failing to notify law enforcement of an internet account, a felony.

He was arraigned in the Town of North Norwich Court and sent to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail. He's scheduled to appear in the Town of Smyrna Court at a later date.
