ELMIRA, CHEMUNG CO. (AP) -- A 21-year-old man has been found guilty of killing an Elmira bar owner earlier this year.
A Chemung County Court on Thursday convicted Louis Duffy of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon after nearly three hours of deliberation.
Duffy was charged after Clinton "Billy" Lewis was found shot to death last May 1 inside his apartment across the street from his bar, Club Chill.
Duffy said during his trial that he was under an extreme emotional disturbance when he shot the 53-year-old Lewis.
Duffy faces 20 years to life in prison when he's sentenced January 9.
