ONEIDA -- Two former DeRuyter students are accused of breaking into the school.

20-year-old Caleb Lidel, of 7287 Oil Mill Road in DeRuyter, and 19-year-old Everett Marks, of 1769 Kinney Road in New Woodstock, are charged with burglary. The arrests stem from a six-month investigation into a break-in at the DeRuyter Central School Building at 711 Railroad Street on May 15.

State police say several items were taken from the school including tools and a battery charger.

Both suspects were arraigned and released on their own recognizance. They are due to appear in court at a later date.
