SYRACUSE -- A former babysitter who worked for Bernie Fine and his wife is speaking out about the sexual abuse allegations aimed at the SU Basketball assistant coach.
Danielle Roche was interviewed for ESPN's Outside the Lines that just aired within the past hour. The show described her as a former Fine babysitter as well as Bobby Davis' former high school girlfriend. The show says she remains friends with Davis.
When asked about what she observed in the Fine household she said, "I could just tell there was a lot of secrets, a lot of closed doors, there was a lot of closed blinds in his office there was a lot of 'I need to see him privately, I need you to come in my office, I need you to come downstairs.' Um...I didn't know what it was at that time, to be honest. I had not...I just didn't know. But I knew that, I could tell, I could see that there was a power struggle, I could see, um...that when he was looking at Bobby it was not the normal look of an adult looking at a kid."
Bobby Davis and his stepbrother Michael Lang have accused Fine of molesting them, much of it happening when the two served as ball boys for the men's basketball team in the 80's. Davis alleges his abuse lasted into the 90's.
Fine has not spoken publicly about the charges since they came to light Thursday night. However, when the allegations were investigated by Syracuse University in 2005, the school says he vehemently denied the accusations.
Syracuse Police are now asking anyone with information about any potential past or recent sexual abuse cases involving Bernie Fine to contact them.
