SYRACUSE -- The sexual abuse allegations lodged against SU Assistant Basketball Coach Bernie Fine have caught the nation's attention.

The story has played out on ESPNCNNFox News, and MSNBC to name a few, as news reporters broadcast live to the country from the SU Hill. The parking lot outside the Carmelo Anthony Basketball Center was filled with live trucks Friday night.

Rochester's NBC affiliate, WHEC, one of the many that spent the day in Syracuse. "I think there is a heightened awareness because of what happened at penn state we want to cover this for our viewers and our community and it's important for us to have this presence, and cover this story. But as an SU fan and a journalist, your heart sinks when you hear this," said WHEC Sports Director Robin DeWind.

In the wake of the Penn State sex scandal, which shook the university's football empire, the country is now watching as Syracuse Police investigate these allegations. And Coach Fine insists it will clear his name.
