More jobs coming as new packaging line is added
A 30% expansion is coming for Baldwinsville's brewery
Anheuser-Busch is expanding operations at the Baldwinsville brewery by starting up a packaging line for 'innovative brands' in 24 ounce cans.
The expansion is expected to increase productivity at the Lysander plant by 30%--and indicates the company's long term commitment to Central New York.
A tax deal earlier this year, plus a state grant have 'encouraged' the $7.6 million dollar project will make the installation of the can line equipment, which will increase production at the B'ville brewery by a third. Right now, the plant employs 480, and that could increase.
