FABIUS (AP) -- State police say a 50-year-old man is dead after his motorcycle collided with a car that turned into his path.
The accident happened shortly before 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the Onondaga County town of Fabius. Troopers say 30-year-old Traci Rekik of Lafayette was making a left turn into her parents' driveway and failed to notice an oncoming motorcycle, which collided with her car.
The motorcyclist, 50-year-old Andrew Cook of Lafayette, was taken to University Hospital in Syracuse, where he was later pronounced dead.
Rekik was treated for minor injuries and ticketed for failing to yield. Her 5-year-old daughter, who was in the front seat, wasn't injured.
