CORNING (AP) -- A 49-year-old man is being held in an upstate New York jail without bail after being charged with killing his girlfriend on Thanksgiving Day.
State police say troopers were called to Delores Warner's home in the town of Corning last Thursday evening and found the 53-year-old dead inside her residence.
Police say they arrested 49-year-old Joseph Dixon of Painted Post on Friday afternoon and charged him with first-degree manslaughter. Troopers say Warner was Dixon's former live-in girlfriend.
Dixon is being held in Steuben County Jail without bail. It wasn't known if he had a lawyer.
Authorities haven't said how Warner died.
