CALCIUM, JEFFERSON CO. -- State Police are looking for a possible witness to a fatal car accident in Jefferson County.

Troopers say 26-year-old Christina Kellner was driving east on State Route 342 in Calcium around 5:10 p.m. Monday when she hit 18-year-old Joseph Mack. Investigators say Mack appeared to be in the road at the time of the accident.

Mack was transported to Samaritan Medical Center and then to Upstate University Hospital in critical condition. He died Tuesday morning from his injuries.

State Police are investigating the crash, and are looking for the driver of the vehicle which was traveling behind Kellner.

There's no word on whether Kellner will be ticketed, but Troopers say there is no indication that she was at fault.

Anyone with information about the accident should call State Police in Watertown at 315-782-2112.
