SYRACUSE -- Oswego Police tell us a woman and her 2-year-old son are recovering from injuries after being hit by a car.
It happened about 9 AM Tuesday, at the intersection of West Fifth and West Albany streets in Oswego. Police say two cars collided, after 18-year-old Aaron Callahan failed to yield the right of way, and hit another vehicle, driven by 26-year-old Jenna Kain. The impact forced one car up onto the sidewalk, which hit 25-year-old Jennifer L. Gates and the stroller that was carrying her 2-year-old son. Both were taken to University Hospital where they are expected to be okay.
Police say none of the people in either vehicle were injured in the crash. Callahan has been ticketed for Failure to yield the right of way at a Stop Sign. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to contact police at 315-342-8120.
