OSWEGO -- Oswego police have suspended the search for a man who jumped into the Oswego River.

Emergency crews have been unable to find the victim and plan to continue surface and shoreline searches periodically, as the weather permits.

The man has not yet been identified. He jumped from the Utica Street bridge into the Oswego River on November 28. When they got there, emergency crews saw the man floating down the river. They tried throwing rescue rings and rescue bags.

Oswego fire crews along with the State Police Dive Team and the U.S. Coast Guard assisted in the search.

Anyone with information should call Oswego police (315) 342-8120.
