Tens of thousands of dollars involved
Onondaga, Oswego and Tompkins County residents among those arrested for Workers Comp fraud
A state-wide crackdown on Workers Compensation cheating is underway, with 18 arrested and more expected.
The NY Financial Services Superintendent says some of the suspects are from Onondaga, Oswego and Tompkins County.
No names are being released, yet. They're charged with pocketing tens of thousands in workers comp checks for phony injuries, or working at another job while collecting checks for an injury.
The investigations, and the crackdown, continue.
