MATTYDALE -- Spend just five minutes with family and friends of 17-year-old Taylor Fleming -- and you'll soon realize just how many lives the Cicero-North Syracuse senior has touched.
"I’m so glad that she's been in my life and she's my best friend and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to spend 17 years with,” said Taylor’s older sister, Kaleigh Fleming.
“She’s just indescribable, you see her and you just smile regardless of whether you know her,” said Taylor’s boyfriend Shawn Radder.
“She has the biggest spirit I have ever seen of a person in my entire life,” said Brandon Draht, one of Taylor’s best friends.
“She loved to just make other people happy and just smile all the time,” said Morgan Bicknell, one of Taylor’s best friends.
Fleming’s family said she will be an organ donor after doctors determined she would not survive injuries sustained in a car crash Thursday in Cicero.
On Sunday night, hundreds of people gathered at St. Margaret’s Church in Mattydale in her honor.
“I know she's touched every single person in there whether they know it or not, but somehow they've gotten to them,” said Kaleigh Fleming.
Taylor's sisters said her strength in the hospital has been incredible to watch.
“She did a great job, I'm so proud of her, all she did was fight,” said Jordan Fleming, Taylor’s younger sister.
The only thing more inspiring than her strength might be her love for others.
Friends and family said Taylor would tell people she loved them "to the moon and back".
“That just shows how much she loves all of us,” said Bicknell.
And Sunday night, a full moon shined brightly over St. Margaret’s Church.
"It definitely shows that she's here with us,” said Bicknell.
Those who knew Taylor best say it's going to stay that way.
“She's my best friend and she's going to be my guardian angel and she's going to be watching me,” said Draht. “Every decision in my head I’m going think, what would Taylor tell me.”
She’s going to watch over us,” said Kaleigh Fleming. “Everything is going to be okay, I know it will.”
