LENOX, MADISON CO. -- A Canastota woman is accused of driving drunk and crashing into several mailboxes.
It happened around 1:20 p.m. Friday on Route 5 in the Town of Lenox in Madison County.
State police say 56-year-old Sandra Parker, of Quarry Road, was driving a black 2008 Jeep Patriot eastbound on Route 5 from the Canastota area. Witness report seeing her drive onto the shoulder of the road, slamming into several mailboxes. Police say Parker kept driving into the City of Oneida, where she hit a mailbox in front of Acrylic Designs and kept going. Troopers were eventually able to pull her over near the Troop D Headquarters.
Parker is charged with DWI, aggravated DWI with a BAC over .18 percent and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Police say Parker's blood alcohol content was .21 percent. She's also charged with leaving the scene of two other property damage accidents in the Town of Lenox.
Parker is scheduled to appear in the City of Oneida Court on December 20.
