SALINA -- A water main break in Salina is leaving some customers without water.

The six-inch break happened around 8:15 a.m. at the intersection of Cleveland and Garfield Avenues. The areas without water include Cleveland Avenue, Garfield Avenue, Footprint Circle and Ausable Row. Due to the length of the outage, the Onondaga County Health Department has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for the customers impacted by the outage. OCWA personnel are hand delivering the notice to all homes in the outage area. The advisory may remain in effect for up to two days, once the advisory has been lifted a second notice will also be hand delivered to the residents.

People in the immediate area, including the western portion of the Village of Liverpool, may notice discolored water because of the break.

You can find updates on the water main break and boil water advisory the day here.
