FULTON -- Fulton Police have made an arrest in what they say was a larceny scheme.
On Wednesday, Fulton Police arrested 36-year-old Matthew Gifford and 32-year-old Lori M. Firenze, both of Fulton. In September, Fulton Police started investigating several complaints involving a suspicious male and female who had been at the homes of elderly victims. The suspicious couple turned out to be Firenze and Gifford.
Police say once they were inside a home, either Firenze or Gifford would engage the homeowner in conversation while the other stole property within the house.
Both were charged with burglary as well as four counts of petit larceny.
