EARLVILLE -- The Village of Earlville has scheduled a special board of trustees meeting, just days after the mayor was arrested.
Mayor Mark Doeberl was stopped at a DWI checkpoint on Friday afternoon. State Police say he had open beer cans is his car and his breath smelled of alcohol.
The village clerk’s office tells the emergency meeting regards village contract issues, and said the board would not have any comment on the mayor’s arrest, saying it is a “personnel issue”.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday night at 7:00 at the Earlville village office on North Main Street.
