NEDROW -- OCWA maintenance personnel have repaired the water main on Leonard Ave., Nedrow.  As of 2:30pm today, Wednesday, water service has been restored to the homes in the area.

If customers experience cloudy water they should run their faucet until clear. Once clear the water will be fine to use. The water is safe to drink and use.

The road will remain closed until approximately 6:00 PM as crews repair the road surface

Updates will be posted as additional information becomes available.

A water main break is leaving dozens of people without water in Nedrow.

The Onondaga County Water Authority says there is a break in the 100 block of Leonard Avenue. That's right near South Salina Street, west of Interstate 81. The road is closed while crews make repairs to the main.

OCWA says 25 homes are without water service. It should be back by about two o'clock this afternoon.

The road will be closed for awhile longer while crews continue their work.
