MANLIUS -- An Onondaga County man is under arrest after police say he was found to have child pornography on his computer.
According to the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office, on Tuesday night detectives with the Abused Persons Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested 21-year-old Aaron VanDervoort of 105 Washington Boulevard in the Town of Manlius on the felony charge of possessing a sexual performance by a child. Police say they found images depicting child pornography on his personal computer.
Police also say that VanDevoort was additionally charged with a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child for an unspecified incident involving a ten-year-old child.
VanDervoort was arraigned in the Town of Clay Court and is being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center on $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond.
