SYRACUSE -- Organizers of Paige's Butterfly Run are helping out the Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital.

Wednesday morning a check of $168,000 was presented.

The run is held each year in honor of Paige Arnold, who died of leukemia while in elementary school.

The race has been very successful over the years, donating more than $1 million to date.

The Golisano Children's Hospital will use funds for pediatric cancer research and for patient services.

The race in 2012 has been scheduled for June 2nd. It includes a 5K run, a fitness run/walk and a caterpillar crawl.
