OSWEGO -- Investigators say an Oswego man was driving drunk when he crashed into a well and yard.
Oswego County Sheriff's deputies say 43-year-old Scott Fullington, of 192 W. Sixth St., was drunk behind the wheel when he crashed a 2007 Mini Cooper on CR 4 in Scriba. Deputies say he lost control at the intersection of Paddy Lake Road, spinning out into a yard, causing damage to a well and the yard. Alcohol and unsafe speed were cited as contributing factors in the crash.
Fullington is charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with .08 of one percent or more of alcohol and crossed official/hazardous road markings. He was issued tickets and released and is scheduled to be back in Scriba Town Court on January 19.
Investigators also charged Fullington in connection with a case involving vehicles used without permission. Deputies say Fullington took two vehicles without the owner's permission from a Scriba home after he was a guest there. One of the vehicles was the Mini Cooper involved in the accident.
He's charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.
