EAST SYRACUSE -- A local attorney and garage owner are accused of defrauding the court.
State Police say 57-year-old Dana Grillo of Camillus and 54-year-old Alex Bakal of Syracuse supplied false documents to the town of Brutus Justice Court in connection with three traffic tickets. Grillo and Bakal are charged with offering a false instrument for filing, which is a felony.
Troopers have been investigating the case since early December, when State Police based in East Syracuse received a complaint from the court.
Grillo is a lawyer. Bakal owns A&R Auto Sales in Camillus.
