SYRACUSE -- The City of Syracuse will reveal Monday the details of proposals from three developers for building on 28 acres of land around the Inner Harbor that connects Franklin Square to the area of Carousel Center and Onondaga Lake.

The Department of Neighborhood and Business Development is hosting a public information session Monday, January 9th at 5:00 pm at the City Hall Commons Atrium Sustainability Showcase.  That's located at 201 East Washington Street in Syracuse.

Hart-Lyman Companies, COR Development and J&A Builders of Syracuse have submitted a range of plans to develop all or part of the Inner Harbor area.  They have each been invited to make a 20 minute presentation to the public.  The Inner Harbor RFP Selection committee will also be there.

That committee will ultimately pass a recommendation on to Mayor Stephanie Miner.  She then can send it on to the Common Council for approval.

The mayor's office said the public will not be allowed to comment at the meeting.  The public will only be allowed to comment after the recommendation has been made.

The city is still waiting for the New York State Canal Corporation to transfer the property to Syracuse.  It has gone years without a developer in place to add commercial, retail or residential buildings to the area.
