OSWEGO -- An Oswego man is charged in a series of larcenies at several local businesses.
Oswego police arrested 28-year-old Christopher Diehl after descriptions from victims and video surveillance footage obtained from several businesses.
Police say Diel would walk into the business, say he was waiting for someone to meet him and then steal money from the cash register when the employees were distracted.
Diehl is charged with stealing $30 from Avendel Bath and Body on West 2nd Street on December 28. He's also accused of stealing a money bag from Kiss & Makeup Minerals on West 2nd Street on January 3. Police say he also stole $120 from the register at Taylor Rental on West 4th Street on January 3.
Diel is charged with three counts of petit larceny. He was arraigned in Oswego City Court and released on his own recognizance. He's due back in court on January 31. Additional charges may be filed.
