LOWVILLE, LEWIS CO. -- A Croghan man is accused of raping a child.
40-year-old Kurt Hazzard, of 6835 Mechanic Street, is charged with rape, criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child.
State police say Hazzard forcibly had sexual intercourse and oral sexual contact with a child younger than 16-years-old and also exposed a 12-year-old child to sexual contact.
Hazzard was arraigned in the Village of Lowville Court and was sent to the Lewis County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000.00 cash bail or $20,000.00 bond.
