LIVERPOOL -- A Central New York holiday tradition has reached a new record.

Lights on the Lake has seen more than 40,000 cars pass through.  The record was set Saturday night.

"I feel great for the Parks Staff because they put so much time and energy into this show. It's a five month process with two months to set it up, a month and a half running it and a month and a half taking it down so those are people I really have to credit, the work that they do so the community can come out and enjoy it,"  Onondaga County Parks Commissioner Bill Lansley said.

Sunday was the final night of Lights on the Lake this season.

Clean-up starts first thing Monday morning.
