Syracuse Police will do safety presentation
A free program on avoiding elderly abuse is set for this Thursday in Syracuse
A service for seniors, started by St Joseph's Hospital's Franciscan Companies, is offering a free program to seniors, to kekep them independent in their homes, and safer from scams.
Susan Clancy-Magley, director of the new 'Embracing Age,' says the outreach fits with her organizations's efforts to help seniors cope--they hope to become the go-to group for support services for seniors, and promise to screen their providers to ensure they offer fair services.
The Elder Scam Prevention presentation is Thursday;, January 12th at 10am, at St Joseph's Hospital's DeFuria Room (just off the main lobby). It is free, with free parking, but they ask that you call ahead at 458-3600 x161, or go to Embracing Age online.
