Grandfather crashed into oncoming car
Four, including two young children, are now dead after a crash in the Binghamton area on Saturday
State Police say the death toll in a Saturday crash near Binghamton has now doubled: besides the two drivers, two children are now victims.
Joshua Henry, 7 and Tyler Houghton, 6--both from Lewis Street in Endicott, had been airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester after the van crash, but both have now died. A third child, Nataya Henry, is the only survivor, and being treated at a Johnson City hospital for a broken leg.
State Police say the children were in a minivan being driven by their grandfather, Joseph Plevinsky, age 55. About noon on Saturday the Endicott man drove into the oncoming lane and hit an SUV, driven by 56 year old Rose Kozlowski, from Binghamton. Both drivers also died in the crash. The investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
