Woman tied up during Syracuse armed robbery

SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police need your help finding two men who allegedly broke into a home on the city’s south side and tied a woman up before taking off with her belongings.

Police say it happened shortly before 6:00 pm Tuesday at 185 East Bissell Street, which is off of South Avenue.

The victim, a 46-year-old woman, told police one of the men pointed a handgun at her during the robbery. Police said the woman’s laptop and purse were stolen.

Officers said the victim’s husband returned home as the suspects were leaving the home.  According to police, the husband jumped out of his vehicle and chased the men on foot.

Police said one of the men then jumped in the husband’s car and took off.

That car is a black 2010 Mazda 3 with New York license plate EYF3356.  It has not been located.
