SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse woman accused of starving her dog is in more trouble.

Wendy Collins was supposed to appear in Syracuse City Court Wednesday afternoon for sentencing. She was charged with failing to provide proper sustenance after SPCA investigators said she starved her pit bull, Princess.

Collins did not show up. The judge issued a bench warrant for her arrest.

Princess has made a full recovery since she was rescued from a Syracuse basement in November. She will not be available for adoption until after the court case is resolved.
