NEW HARTFORD, ONEIDA CO. -- A Frankfort woman is charged with identity theft for allegedly using a victim's personal information to open a line of credit at a jewelry store in New Hartford.

Oneida County Sheriff's deputies say 24-year-old Christina Cobb, of Mann Street, used someone's personal identifying information to set up a line of credit at Belden's Jewelers in Sangertown Mall.

Investigators say Cobb used the line of credit to buy $5,218.91 worth of jewelry.

She was arraigned in New Hartford Town Court and released on her own recognizance. Cobb is scheduled to be back in court on January 17.
