JEFFERSON COUNTY --

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Offices has removed the travel advisory for Jefferson County.

The advisory was put in place due to sleet, freezing rain, and heavy icing. The county still expects winter weather to continue, bringing with it icing that could reach half an inch thick. Icing like this could bring down weakened limbs and power lines. Travelers in the area should still remain cautious of ice on the roads.

Be sure to send us your ice photos! Post them to our Facebook page, email news@cnycentral.com or tweet us @CNYCentral and we may show some of them on air!
