It was so much fun last year, they're doing it again--with some comfort additions.  Sled for Red, with teams building their own cardboard sleds--cardboard, tape and paint, nothing else!--is coming back to Fayetteville's Four Seasons on Saturday, January 21st.

Jackie Coe, who coordinates the AIDS Community Resources benefit, says that in addition to the sledding teams, this year there's a prize for team support too, to encourage people who don't want to come down the hill, to stand on the sidelines and cheer.
Coe says there will also be food and drink sampling, courtesy several local restaurants, and this year there's a heated tent for spectators and competitors, too. They've been making snow, so the hill is ready for sledders and tubers.

Sled for Red made almost $9,000 in its first year, with the benefits to AIDS Community Resources education programs.  Coe says the money stays local, and really benefits school children, with information on sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including AIDS.

They're still recruiting sledding teams at the AIDS Community Resources website, and welcome spectators as well, 5 - 9pm on Saturday.
