CLINTON -- A three month investigation ends with a Clinton man charged with using other people's social security numbers to get free cable.

State police say 43-year-old James Bevan, of 19 Chenango Avenue, used the social security numbers to steal cable television in the Village of Clinton.

The investigation began when Time Warner Cable tipped off state police. Bevan was later arrested and charged with felony grand larceny. Police say he stole more than $1,000 worth of cable TV.

Bevan was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Kirkland Town Court on January 24.
