UTICA -- A wanted fugitive is off the streets of Central New York.

Tyshawn Brown, also known as Darnell Stuckey, was arrested in Utica around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Members of the New York New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force captured Brown at 1201 Walnut Street.

He was wanted by New York City police on a warrant charging him with assault. Police say Brown was involved in a fight outside a restaurant on Broadway in Manhattan back in 2009. During the fight, police say Brown shot two people with a handgun. One person suffered minor injuries. The second victim was paralyzed and later died.

Brown may face additional charges now since one of the victims died earlier this month.
